The Hamilton Around the Bay Marathon started in 1894. The winning time, by Marshall, in that first year was 2 hours 14 minutes and 0 seconds. The above image is from the 1912 race going across the bridge at the Burlington Canal. The winner that year was Duffy with a Herald record time of 1 hour 46 minutes and 15 seconds.
